Utilizadas no setor industrial em mecanismos de acionamento autom\u00e1tico, equipamentos el\u00e9tricos, por exemplo, as molas geralmente s\u00e3o utilizadas com a fun\u00e7\u00e3o de armazenamento de energia, amortecimento, distribui\u00e7\u00e3o de cargas, contato e preserva\u00e7\u00e3o de jun\u00e7\u00f5es. As principais aplica\u00e7\u00f5es com essas fun\u00e7\u00f5es s\u00e3o montagem de estofamentos, fechaduras, rel\u00f3gios, v\u00e1lvulas de descarga e suspens\u00e3o automotiva, entre outras. As molas caracol possuem formato espiral, geralmente s\u00e3o feitas de barra ou se\u00e7\u00e3o retangular e s\u00e3o aplicadas principalmente em objetos como portas, rel\u00f3gios, trenas, cintos de seguran\u00e7a para autom\u00f3veis e contato de baterias para contato el\u00e9trico entre partes de sistemas eletroeletr\u00f4nicos.
